Kennedy Barreto (Instructor/Supervisor)

Kennedy Barreto (Instructor/Supervisor)A strong believer that we are the creators of our own destinies, Kennedy became part of the Arthur Murray family in 2010. In his free time, he enjoys traveling, playing poker, and changing Bailey’s desktop wallpaper. Kennedy alone is probably personally responsible for 86.2% of Starbucks’ income, and is the self-proclaimed current reigning Twerk King.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“I was afraid of heights until last year, during the Chicago Dance-o-Rama, when I went up to the Skydeck observation box… but I’m still afraid of Ferris wheels.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“I like how we’re able to come together to accomplish any goal.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Finding a career that I genuinely love and having the opportunity to share that love with students.”


Chris Debiak (Instructor/New Student Director)

Chris Debiak (Instructor/New Student Director)Sir Christopher Charles the First of his name won the Nobel Prize for Amazingness, twice. He’s studied at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ, and has held lead roles in several musicals. In his spare time, he enjoys reading books for pleasure as well as to further his education on the world.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“Lord of the Rings is life.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“I enjoy working with the franchisees because they go above and beyond to help you succeed, and that fosters a family-like environment which is exemplified by our staff and students.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Being top specialist in the Arthur Murray franchise.”


Colleen Nelson (Instructor/Guest Director)

Colleen Nelson (Instructor/Guest Director)Colleen has been with the Arthur Murray Cranford team for over a year now. As a kid, and still to this day, she has developed an adventurous spirit that led her to try many different things, such as figure skating, gymnastics, and cheerleading. She enjoys spending time outdoors.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“I’m ambidextrous because of a trampoline accident.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“I can only pick one? The family feel of the place.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Winning first place in the World Competition.”


Kate Woolfe (Instructor/Specialist)

Kate Woolfe (Instructor/Specialist)Though she has dabbled in diverse career opportunities, Kate’s true passion is dance. She began training at 14 in her hometown of Katy, Texas, before being accepted to the ballroom program at Utah Valley University where she performed across the globe as part of the UVU Ballroom Tour Team. Kate graduated with a dual BA in Ballroom Dance and Political Science. She competed as a finalist for years in International Standard but found new love in American Smooth and Rhythm. She recently moved from Boston, Massachusetts, where she taught at the Arthur Murray in Cambridge.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“I decorate with Star Wars legos.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“We don’t have bosses; we have leaders.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Most recently, it’s becoming the #1 Dance Specialist in all of Arthur Murray. But long-term, I have to say it’s having inspired whole generations of new dancers to continue long after I have left the area. (Occasionally I visit studios where I used to teach. When I see students still dancing long after I have left, I am proud of have played a part in their dancer journey.)”


Lance Gillman (Instructor)

Lance Gillman (Instructor)Lance has two passions in life, dance and food. He started dancing when a friend bought him dinner in exchange for trying out for the high school ballroom team. While at Utah Valley University, he was on the Ballroom Touring Team, and was able to perform throughout the United States and Europe. Since leaving college, he been competing in the open and rising star professional ballroom divisions, as well as open show dance division. He has also found a love for teaching dance. Lance recently moved from Utah to join the Arthur Murray Cranford team.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“I was a two-time winner of the Utah State Dutch Oven Cooking Contest.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“That all of our strengths and weaknesses balance out—we cover for each other and know we can rely on each other.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Dancing at the British Open Championships in Blackpool England.”


Valerie Sisco (Instructor/Dance Director)

Valerie Sisco (Instructor/Dance Director)Val started dancing when she was five, and became hooked for life. She has experience in a wide variety of dance styles, including ballet, tap, jazz, and modern. She has been working with Arthur Murray Cranford since 2012, and outside the studio, Val enjoys yoga, hiking, and sewing.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“I worked for the Boy Scouts for nine years.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“How everyone’s personalities and skill sets complement each other.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Finding a career I like.”


Bailey Berry (Front Desk Manager)

Bailey Berry (Front Desk Manager)Bailey has been with the Arthur Murray Cranford team for about a year now. In her spare time, she enjoys writing novels, appreciating video games as an art form, and caring for her cat, Lulubell. She’s still trying to learn how to dance.

What’s a weird fun fact about you?
“I never learned how to ride a bicycle.”

What’s your favorite thing about working with this team?
“I really like the open and friendly atmosphere here.”

What’s your proudest accomplishment?
“Training my cat to meow on command. Maybe publishing my first book, but probably training my cat.”
